3 Packet Pot Roast aka To Die For Pot Roast


I love my Crock Pot. It is so great to be able to cook something without turning on your oven. This roast and veg is to die for. The meat is fork tender and it makes a wonderful gravy as it cooks and only contains 5 ingredients plus whatever vegetables you wish to add.


PREP TIME: 5 minutes

COOK TIME: 7-9 hours

TOTAL TIME: 7-9 hours 5 minutes

YIELD: 6 servings


INGREDIENTS:

1 (4-5 pound) Beef Roast, any kind

1 (1 1/4 ounce) packet Brown Gravy Mix, dry

1 (1 1/4 ounce) packet Dried Italian Salad Dressing Mix

1 (1 1/4 ounce) packet Dried Ranch Dressing Mix

1/2 cup Water

Non-Stick Cooking Spray

OPTIONAL:

Potatoes, cubed or boiled and then mashed

Baby Carrots

Celery, sliced

Any other vegetable you like with your beef pot roast


INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Spray your Crock Pot liner generously with non-stick cooking spray then place the beef roast in the Crock Pot.

2. Mix the dried mixes together in a bowl and sprinkle over the beef roast,

3. Add any vegetables that you wish to cook with the roast.

4. Pour the water around the roast.

5. Cook on LOW for 7-9 hours.

6. Serve hot and enjoy!


NOTES:

**You can use onion soup mix instead of the ranch if you prefer.

**Add one cup of red wine along with the water if desired.
