Creamy Pasta With Ham and Peas

Creamy Pasta with Ham and Peas...so creamy, easy and simple! You can whip this up in 25 minutes from start to finish -- perfect for busy weeknights! And if you're looking for recipes using leftover ham, this is an easy recipe that the whole family will love!


PREP TIME: 10 minutes

COOK TIME: 30 minutes

TOTAL TIME: 40 minutes

SERVINGS: 6


INGREDIENTS:

1 pound Bow-tie Pasta

1 Onion, chopped

2 tablespoon Butter

3 cups chopped Ham

1/4 cup White Wine

2 cups Heavy Cream

1 tablespoon Dijon Mustard (I use the grainy version)

1 cup Parmesan Cheese

2 cups Frozen Peas


DIRECTIONS:

1. Boil water for pasta. Add pasta and cook according to the package directions.

2. Once your water is boiling and you've added your pasta, start your cream sauce with ham and peas.

3. Saute chopped onions in butter until they become translucent.

4. Add chopped ham to the onions and cook for a few more minutes, stirring a couple of times.

5. Add white wine. Allow to reduce slightly before adding cream mixture.

6. Add Parmesan cheese slowly, stirring while you are adding it.

7. Add peas and cook until they are warmed through.

8. Add peas and cook until they are warmed through.

9. Mix sauce with pasta.

10. Serve immediately.
