Drop Biscuits

Quick and easy drop biscuits are perfect for breakfast or dinner and can be made with ingredients that you already have in your cupboards!

PREP TIME: 10 minutes

COOK TIME: 15 minutes

TOTAL TIME: 25 minutes

SERVINGS: 15-25 biscuits depending on the size you make

INGREDIENTS:

4 cups All-Purpose Flour

1 cup cold Unsalted Butter

2 cups Milk (I use 2%)

2 tablespoons Baking Powder

2 teaspoons Salt

4 tablespoons Butter, melted

Cooking Spray

DIRECTIONS:

1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit and lightly spray a baking sheet with cooking spray. You could also line the baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat if you'd prefer.

2. Whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt in a large mixing bowl.

3. Using a pastry cutter or a fork, cut the butter into the flour mixture until butter is worked into pea-sized balls.

4. Fold the milk into the batter just until combined, being careful not to overmix. The dough should look sticky and thick.

5. Using a large cookie scoop (about 3 tablespoons), drop biscuits 2-3 inches apart on the prepared baking sheet.

6. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes.

7. Remove from the oven and let cool for 5 minutes before brushing the tops with melted butter.
