Mini Heart Shaped Pizzas

Pizza is one of my favorite crazy-easy comfort foods to make at home. It takes minimal effort, not to mention few dishes, and is often so much better than takeout. I gave our regular easy dinner a quick update to make these fun mini heart shaped pizzas. All you need is a heart shaped cookie cutter to make pizza night oh so much cuter. These mini pizzas are great for a date night or just to brighten someone's day. Because who wouldn't love a heart shaped pizza? It's a kid friendly recipe too, so your kiddos can join in on the cooking.

PREP TIME: 50 minutes

COOK TIME: 10 minutes

TOTAL TIME: 1 hour

YIELD: 12 mini pizzas

INGREDIENTS:

1 tube Refrigerated Pizza Dough

1 jar Pizza Sauce

2 cups Shredded Mozzarella Cheese

1 package Mini Pepperoni

Flour, for dusting your work surface

4 inch Heart Cookie Cutter

Parchment Paper

Cooking Sheet

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit. Remove the pizza dough from the refrigerator and let it sit out for approximately 30 minutes to come to room temperature.

2. Sprinkle your clean and sterilized countertop or cutting board with flour. Place the room temperature pizza dough on top, use a rolling pin to roll out evely and use the 4" heart shaped cookie cutter to cut out the heart shapes from the dough. I was able to get 12 mini pizzas out of 1 tube after rolling it out evenly.

3. Place about 1 tablespoon of sauce in the middle of each crust. Use a spoon to spread it around the entire surface and top with cheese and mini pepperoni.

4. Bake in the oven for 5-10 minutes or until the crust is crisp and the cheese is just beginning to brown. Allow it to cool for a minute and enjoy!
