Pizza Bubbles Casserole

Updated: Oct 4, 2021

This is an easy, cheesy, casserole-style bubble pizza. Featuring everything you love about a casserole, this hassle-free bubble pizza recipe only requires 10 minutes of prep, making it a perfect activity for your favorite kitchen helpers.

PREP TIME: 10 minutes

COOK TIME: 30 minutes

TOTAL TIME: 40 minutes

SERVINGS: 8

INGREDIENTS:

1 can (16.3 ounce) refrigerator Pillsbury Grands! Southern Homestyle Buttermilk Biscuits (8 count)

1 can (15 ounces) Pizza Sauce

1/2 pouch HORMEL Mini Pepperoni Pieces

1 1/2 cups Shredded Mozzarella Cheese or Pizza Cheese Blend (6 ounces)

Non-Stick Cooking Spray

DIRECTIONS:

1. Heat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Spray a 9x13 inch (3 quart) glass baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.

2. Separate dough into 8 biscuits. Cut each into 6 pieces; place in medium bowl. Stir in pizza sauce to coat. Spoon biscuit mixture evenly into dish.

3. Baked 20 to 25 minutes or until light golden brown and center biscuits are baked through.

4. Sprinkle with cheese and sprinkle half the pouch of mini pepperoni on top; bake 3 to 5 minutes longer or until cheese is melted. Cut into squares

COOKING TIPS:

1. Kitchen scissors make cutting the biscuits for this bubble pizza easy.

2. While it's tempting to combine the biscuits and pizza sauce in the baking dish, combining them in a bowl first prevents the sauce from getting on the sides of the baking dish and burning during baking.

3. Round out this Italian-inspired bubble pizza recipe with a simple green salad dressed with Italian dressing and sprinkled with grated Parmesan cheese.
