Crock Pot Shepherd's Pie

If you love a delicious, hearty, one-pot meal, then I have the recipe for you! This Crock Pot Shepherd's Pie is delicious and comfort food at it's best!

PREP TIME: 20 minutes

COOK TIME: 4 hours

TOTAL TIME: 4 hours 20 minutes

YIELD: 8 servings

INGREDIENTS:

Non-Stick Cooking Spray

3 pounds Ground Beef

1/2 Onion, chopped

5 Russet Potatoes, boiled and mashed with 1 tablespoon Milk

2 oz Brown Gravy Mix (2 - 1 ounce packets)

1 teaspoon Garlic Powder

1 teaspoon Onion Powder

12 ounces frozen Sliced Carrots, not thawed

12 ounces frozen Peas, not thawed

1 (10.5 ounce) can Cream of Mushroom Soup

1 cup shredded Swiss Cheese

Optional: Sprinkling of Paprika

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Brown your ground beef with your onion in a skillet over medium-high heat, drain.

2. Boil your potatoes, drain and mash with 1 tablespoon milk

3. Milk together your beef mixture, brown gravy mixes, garlic powder, onion powder, carrots, peas and cream of mushroom soup.

4. Spray your Crock Pot with cooking spray.

5. Pour your beef mixture into your Crock Pot.

6. Spoon your mashed potatoes on top and spread evenly. Sprinkle the Swiss cheese evenly over the top. If desired sprinkle with paprika.

7. Cover and cook on HIGH for 4 hours or LOW for 8 hours.

8. Serve hot in bowls and enjoy!

NOTES:

**I have made this with homemade mashed potatoes and with instant mashed potatoes. We like it both ways because we have found some instant potatoes we absolutely love. However, if you hate instant mashed potates, go ahead and make your own! It was yummy both ways!

**I made this recipe twice in my InstaPot Slow Cooker and once in my InstaPot Multi-Purpose Cooker. Both did a great job. You can use your favorite 6-quart Crock Pot.

**You can adjust this recipe to meet your family's needs. Don't like peas, leave them out. Love carrots, add some more. Do note though, as the recipe is, it almost fills a 6-quart Crock Pot, so adjust the size of your Crock Pot accordingly if you are adding a ton more veggies.

**All slow cooker cook differently, so cooking times are always basic guidelines and should always be tested first in your own slow cooker and time adjusted as needed.
